From the course

A purchase order is the document a buyer sends a factory to confirm a specific order: what is being made, how many, at what price, by when, how payment happens, how goods are shipped, and against what quality standard. This lesson teaches the seven terms a purchase order must state before a factory can safely start cutting fabric against it. This is mainly an information flow: the purchase order carries every fact production depends on, from the buyer's side to the factory's side, before a single piece is cut.
