What is Fabric relaxation?
Letting a fabric roll rest flat, unrolled, before spreading and cutting so it can settle back from the tension and distortion put into it during knitting, weaving or finishing; cutting a fabric that has not relaxed risks cut pieces shrinking or distorting out of spec after cutting.
